*Obituary for Bonnie
Bonnie Jerome Bales, 62, of 1100 N. Hedgecoke, died at 11 p.m. Monday in North Plains Hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Gateway Baptist Church with the Rev. A.J. Holster, pastor of Collegeview Baptist Church officiating and the Rev. William S. Hobson, pastor of Gateway Baptist Church, assisting.

Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Mortuary.

Mr. Bales had been a resident of Borger for 35 years and was a welder. He was a member of Collegeview Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dessie; two daughters, Mrs. Norma Hale of Stinnett and Mrs. Ramona Anderson of Garlington; one son, Fredy [sic] of Borger; his mother, Mrs. Maude Mae Bales of Borger; one brother, Tommy Spears of Kemah; and 14 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be W.R. Martin, Charles Chitwood, Jack Holmes, Clyde Hutto, Murl Shirley, and L.M. Poston.

BORGER - Dessie Bales Sexton, 81, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Riverview Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Gillmore, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Sexton was born in Smithville, Okla., and lived in Borger the past 58 years. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bonnie Bales, in 1977; by her second husband, James Sexton, in 1996; and by two sons, Jackie L. Bales in 1970 and Johnny J. Bales in 1969.

Survivors include a son, Freddie Bales of Borger; a stepson, Jimmy Sexton of Elkhart, Kan.; two daughters, Norma Hale of Stinnett and Ramona Bales Anderson of Garland; a brother, Junior Sessions of Borger; a sister, Roma Lee Abernathy of Las Vegas; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
