Holland "Speedy" Hale Barrett
October 25, 1921 - July 19, 2015

Holland ''Speedy'' Hale Barrett, 93, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015.

Graveside service will be held 9 am Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. A memorial service will follow at 10 am in the Minton Memorial Chapel. The family will receive guest from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the funeral home.

Speedy was born October 25, 1921 in Gordon, Texas to Maude Gertrude Cox and James Willman Barrett. He married Grace McDonald Swaffer on August 14, 1946 in Borger, Texas. Mr. Barrett proudly served as Corporal with the 381st bomb group with the Army Air Force.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughters, Darlene Wolfe, Virginia Ferguson; grandsons, Bruce Ferguson, Danny Wolfe; granddaughter, LaWanda McWilliams; and great granddaughter, Amie Kuykendall.

Survivors include grandsons, Tommy Ferguson and wife Phyllis of Amarillo, Roy Ferguson of Borger, Rick Wolfe and wife Kaye of Montrose, Colorado, Jimmy Wolfe and wife Dorothy of Borger, Kendell McWilliams and wife Anita of Borger; granddaughter, Linda Wolfe; twelve great grandkids; and twenty two great great grandkids.
