BORGER - Billy Odell Barton, 85, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Andrew's United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Dorn, pastor, and the Rev. Weldon Rives, former pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mr. Barton was born June 29, 1916, in DeLeon. He retired as natural gas superintendent for Phillips Petroleum.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; a son, Bill Barton of Austin; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

AUSTIN - Mary Oxford Barton, 93, formerly of Borger, died Thursday, July 30, 2009.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Westlawn Memorial Park in Borger with the Rev. Ted Wilson, pastor of St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Borger, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mary was born Aug. 2, 1915, in Waco.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Billy O. Barton.
Survivors include a son, Bill and wife Judy Norman Barton; a granddaughter, Laura Weiss; two grandsons, Clay Barton and wife Sharon and Travis Barton and wife Lisa, all of Austin; two great-granddaughters, Sarah Weiss Barr and husband Adam and Mary Lynn Barton of Austin; and four great-grandsons, Matthew Weiss, James Barton, Kyle Barton and Caleb Barton.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, 600 W. 11th Ave., Amarillo, TX 79101; or Bannockburn Baptist Church-Food Pantry, 7100 Brodie Lane, Austin, TX 78745.
