Funeral services for Ralph Bayless, 75, a retired vice president of the Panhandle Bank and Trust Company, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church.

Bayless, of 804 County Club Road, died Saturday evening at his home of an apparent heart attack.

The Rev. Dan B. Cameron, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Pampa will be officiating the services and he will be assisted by Rev. Joe D. Ray, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Borger. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Ed Brown and Sons Funeral Directors.

Bayless was born in Arkansas and had been a Borger resident since 1939 after moving from Anadarko, Okla.

He retired from Panhandle Bank and Trust Co. in January, 1967 after 28 years of service with the bank. He served as vice president and trust officer for over 10 years. He was a member of the board of directors for the bank since 1949 and was secretary to the board.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church and had served as deacon and church clerk the past 30 years. Bayless was also a member of the Borger Knife and Fork Club, the Masonic Lodge of Anadarko and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; three sons, John of 1307 Yows, Jim of Brownfield and Ralph Jr. of Victoria, Australia; two daughters, Mrs. Wayne Adams of Houston and Mrs. Cecil Brain of Willingboro N.J.; two sisters, Mrs. Maurice Hart and Mrs. Fletcher Karr, both of Tulsa, Okla.; and 16 grandchildren.

Casketbearers will be Cecil Rentfrow, George Aull, Dudley Adams, Dave Warren, Ralph Bayless III, Steven Brain, Mike Bayless, and Danny Bayless. Honorary casketbearers will be the deacons of the First Baptist Church.

Ushers will be Jim Godfrey and the Rev. Howard Lyons.

Mrs. Leona Bayless, 67, long-time prominent Borger resident died at North Plains Hospital here Friday evening.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday from the First Baptist Church here, Rev. Dan B. Cameron and Dr. Winfred W. Moore, pastor of the Amarillo First Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Ed Brown, Funeral Director.

Mrs. Bayless, wife of Ralph Bayless, Sr., First Vice-President of Panhandle Bank and Trust Co., was an active member of the Borger First Baptist Church. She had become extremely well known through her church work.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, John, Borger, Jim, Brownfield, and Ralph Bayless Jr. of Redwood City, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Wayne Adams, Borger and Mrs. Cecil Brain, Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters Mrs. Arleigh Davis, Peoria, Ill.; and Mrs. Roy Holbrich, Midwest City, Okla. and 14 grandchildren.

Casket bearers will be Phil Berg, Chester Garst, George Aull, F.P. Smithey, Jerrie Keith and Ed Turner. Members of the board of deacons at First Baptist Church will serve as honorary casket bearers.
