Bill Bell, 70, of Borger died Monday, January 27, 1997 in St. Anthony's Hospice in Amarillo.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, 1997 at the Church of Christ in Borger with Mr. Richard Kasko, minister, officiating.

Burial will be in the Garden of Love at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

A native of Mount Pleasant, Mr. Bell had been a Borger resident since 1929. He was retired from Southwestern Public Service as Generating Plant Manager. He was employed by SPS for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a member of the Church of Christ in Borger. He was also a member of the ISOM Masonic Lodge #1242.

He married Doris Pruitt on December 15, 1945 in Amarillo.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Gary Bell of Tyler, Mike Bell of Plainview; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Bell of Borger; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell, Amarillo, Tx, 79109.
