BORGER - Paul D. Belton, 61, died Friday, June 2, 2000.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Borger High School Auditorium, officiated by the Rev. Myron Waddle, the Rev. Carl Taylor, the Rev. Ken Sheppard, the Rev. Kenneth Reagans, the Rev. R.L. Belton and Judge David McCoy. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.

Mr. Belton was a native of Jonesboro, La. and lived in Borger nine years. He was an engineer at the Pantex Plant. He was a member of the Borger Independent School Board, the State School Board, and the Borger Youth League. He was a member and deacon of Bethel Baptist Church.

Mr. Belton married Ruth Sauls in 1961 at Waco.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Gregg Belton of Houston; a daughter, Shawn Belton of Dallas; two brothers, the Rev. R.L. Belton and Nathaniel Belton, both of Jonesboro; two sisters, Gloria Wilson of Jonesboro and Rosa Raff of Benbrook; and a grandson.

The family suggests memorials be to Paul D. Belton Scholarship Fund in care of Borger Bank, P.O. Box 949, Borger, TX 79008.
