DUMAS - Funeral services for Jack D. Bevins, 61, formerly of Borger, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Bible Baptist Church in Dumas with Rev. Jerry Clark, officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday in Westlawn Cemetery in Borger under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

He died Thursday, December 8, in St. Anthony's Hospice.

He was born June 3, 1927 in Drumright, Okla. and retired from Southwestern Public Service Co. as an equipment operator. He also worked for Dumas Independent School District in the maintenance department.

He moved to Dumas in March of 1976 from Borger and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. He married Joyce Fern Stewart on August 3, 1974 in Borger.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce of Dumas; two daughters, Sherry Bevins Darrell of Owensboro, Ky., Janice Bevins Lewis of Corpus Christi; nine brothers and sisters, Vern Bevins of Albion, Ill., Ruby Green of Eunice, La., Bus Bevins of Bakersfield, Calif., Phyllis LaDue of League City; Bob Bevins of Collinsville, Okla., Frankie Bevins of Fritch, Betsy Clemmons of Lubbock, Tom Bevins of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Services for Mrs. Wilma Jean Bevins, 45, of 1229 Lindsey, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. W.A. Appling, pastor, officiating. The Rev. Leonard Forsythe pastor of the Bible Baptist Church will assist.

Interment will follow in the Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bevins died at 3 p.m. Wednesday in North Plains Hospital. She had lived in Borger since 1952. She was a former employee of Adrian's Photography. Born Sept. 2, 1928 in Keifer, Okla., Mrs. Bevins was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Jack; two daughters, two sisters, and her mother.

Casketbearers will be Adrian Kunce, Eddie Parr, Bill Broadbaent, Troy Brewer, Lloyd Davis, and Winifred Bethel.

The casket will be open until one hour before services.

All memorials may be made to the Bible Baptist Church Library or the First United Methodist Church.
