Obituary
FRITCH - Clay Valan Bolin, 48, formerly of Fritch, died Monday, April 19, 2010, in Wagoner, Okla.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday in Slay Memorial Funeral Center in Aubrey.

Clay was born June 21, 1961, in Borger. He graduated from Sanford-Fritch High School in 1979. He then graduated from Frank Phillips College in Borger, where he was a member of the Rodeo Team.

In 1997, he earned his bachelor's degree in environmental resources from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. He was a supervisor in oil field construction, and worked the last 10 years for Jomax Pipeline Construction.

He was preceded in death by his father, V.E. "Sonny" Bolin; and his grandparents, Jack and Ola Bolin and Tuss and Wilma Fisher.

Survivors include his mother, Myra Hammond of Aubrey; his longtime companion, Maryan Davies of Austin; a brother, Carey Bolin of Sanford; a sister, Casey Southard and husband Alan of Pilot Point; a nephew, Wesley Southard of Pilot Point; a niece, Paige Southard of Pilot Point; as well as a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to "Clay Bolin - Frank Phillips College, Rodeo Scholarship, P.O. Box 5118, Borger, TX 79008.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
