Russell Val Gene "Val" Boothe
June 4, 1944 - September 14, 2018

Russell Val Gene Boothe, 74, died on September 14, 2018 in Amarillo. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Minton Memorial Chapel with David Dacus officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Val was born June 6, 1944 in Oklahoma City, OK to Russell J. Boothe and Clara Dacus Boothe. He graduated from Panhandle High School in 1961 and then proudly served in the U. S. Army. After the service he went to work at the Copoly Plant in Borger until it closed, then to Sid Richardson Carbon Plant in operations until retirement. He married Linda Cannefax June 2, 1973 in Clayton, NM. Val loved to play with his grandkids and great grandkids, he especially loved being called GG.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Linda and his two sisters Wilma and Betty.

Val is survived by his two sons Steve Boothe and his wife Stacey of Fritch and James Lee Boothe and his wife Annette of Lubbock, his three grandchildren Cameron and wife Crystal, Tyler and his wife Kylie and Alex, his four great grandchildren, his brother Galen Boothe and his wife Glenda of Panhandle, his sister Linda Kay Calkins of Amarillo and three beloved nieces Dawn, Denise and Melissa.
