BORGER - Chester Bowen, 82, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, in Amarillo.

Burial will be at 10 a.m. today in Westlawn Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. today in Brown Funeral Directors Chapel of the Fountains with John Curry officiating.

Mr. Bowen was born July 4, 1924, in Clayton, N.M., to Charles and Viola Bowen. He married Franzisha Dietl in Straubing, Germany, after World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Shirley Whitworth of Borger and Francie Ashbury of Royse City; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
