Funeral services for Jim Briscoe, 71, of 16 N. Adams in Phillips, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Ed Brown and Sons Chapel of the Fountains. The Rev. John Street, pastor of the Phillips Baptist Church will officiate.

Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown and Sons Funeral Directors. Graveside rites will be under the auspices of the Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge No. 1355. All Masons are requested to meet at the Masonic Hall at 914 N. Hedgecoke at 1 p.m. to participate in the services.

Briscoe, a resident of Phillips since 1943, died at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo.

He was a retired employee of Phillips Petroleum Co., having been with the company 26 years. Briscoe was a member of the Phillips Baptist Church and the Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge No. 1355.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby of the home; two sons, Jimmy F. of Borger and Billy Don of Gatesville, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ruth Gurley of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Loretta Ford of San Antonio; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Burkett, Mrs. Elizabeth Porter and Mrs. Grossie Cassity, all of Ringling, Okla., and Mrs. Gertrude Porter of Midland; and seven grandchildren.
