Willard W. Brown, Sr., 78, died Friday, October 18, 1996, in the Veterans Hospital in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Willy Adams of Eternal Light Church and Rev. I.M. Hopkins officiating.

Interment will follow the funeral services in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in the Garden of Devotion, under the direction Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mr. Brown was born in Forestburg and had been a Borger resident since 1948. He was retired from Phillips Petroleum Company. He served in the U.S. Navy and Merchant Marines during World War II. He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a Sunday school superintendent for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara H. Brown, of the home; two sons, Willard W. Brown, Jr. of Borger and Randy C. Brown of Paris; two sisters, Emma L. Stedman of Forestburg and Estelle Kelly of Gainesville, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
