BORGER - Shannon Curtis "Cool" Browning, 58, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Grace Fellowship Church with Ricky Griffin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Shannon Browning, 58, of Borger went to sleep on Earth and woke up in heaven last Thursday morning.

Shannon lived in Borger and celebrated his 39th wedding anniversary with his soulmate, Donna Jean Rogers Browning, on Nov. 19, 2004. He was born in Vinita, Okla., to Milo and Laura Browning.

Shannon was an employee of Agrium for 35 years, retiring in March 2004. He was an instrument technician, radiation safety officer and a member of the Emergency Response Team. He served his company on various teams and boards during employment. Shannon was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, where he used his God-given gifts of encouragement and unconditional love in the men's Monday night prayer group.

The family wishes to thank all of their friends and Shannon and Donna's church family for their prayers, visits and calls. The outpouring of support and love shown to our family will never be forgotten.

God bless you! He wasn't perfect, just another sinner saved by grace and loved by his family.

He was preceded in death by his father on April 14, 2001.

He is survived by many family, friends and strangers, whom he always had a kind word for or helping hand; his wife; two daughters, Jodie Hudson and husband James, and Deedra Browning; three grandchildren, precious in his eye, Ali, Branon and Lauren Hudson; his mother; a sister, Sharron Elrod and husband, Jerry; six nephews; and three nieces.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, 600 N. Tyler St., Amarillo, TX 79107.

The family will be at 100 W. Ocla.
