William "Bill" Brownlee passed away in Amarillo Wednesday, October 8, 2014.

He was born January 16, 1916 in Hereford, Texas to Fred and Lillian (Smith) Brownlee. Bill and June (Meadows) were married June 18, 1942 in Las Vegas, New Mexico.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a Mason. He was a machinist at Copolymer Plant. Bill served in the United States Army during World War II. In the Army, he was a Tech Sergeant.

Mr. Brownlee is preceded in death by his parents, wife June, sons: John, Fred and Tommy; one brother, Joe Brownlee and a sister, Ruth Eubanks. Mr. Brownlee is survived by 4 grandsons: Brian and wife Ronda Brownlee of Borger, Bill and wife April Brownlee of Amarillo, James and wife Rebecca Brownlee of Dodge City, Kansas, and Andrew Brownlee of Amarillo; 4 granddaughters: Allison and husband Chris George of Houston, Tracey and husband Albert Treto of Canyon, Leslie and husband Michael Nelson of Wellington, Kansas, and Lorri and husband Gary Thomas of Collinsville, Oklahoma; and 18 great grandchildren.

Services will be Monday, October 13, 2014 at the First Baptist Church Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Andy Dietz officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Brownlee will lie in state Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 12:00 noon to 6 p.m. at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains.

Family will receive friends Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 1:30 p.m. - 3:0 p.m. at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains.

BORGER - June Brownlee, 86, died Monday, July 1, 2002.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gregg Simmons, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Brownlee was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star No. 811 and Home Demonstration Club.

Survivors include her husband, W.S. "Bill"; a son, Fred Brownlee of Amarillo; two brothers, Robert Meadows of Albuquerque, N.M., and Winfield Meadows of Livermore, Calif.; a sister, Laurel Meadows of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 470, Borger, TX 79008-0470; or Gideon's International, P.O. Box 5800, Borger, TX 79008-5800.
