BORGER - Dale Emerson Bryan, 79, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Riley officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.

Mr. Bryan was a retired cable tool driller. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps, serving during World War II.

Survivors include four sons, Mike Bryan and Bill Bryan, both of Fritch, Rick Bryan of Eunice, La., and Robert Bryan of Amarillo; five daughters, Barbie Schroeder, Pat Thompson and Tina Massengale, all of Borger, Jeannie Hogue of Portage, Ind., and Karen Rood of Edmond, Okla.; a brother, Virgil Bryan of Charleston, W.Va.; 31 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Catherine Bryan, 68, Borger, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Keeler Baptist Church with the Rev. Wyatt Carpenter officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Bryan died Saturday, Aug. 8, 1992 in her home.

A native of Charleston, W. Va., she had been a Borger resident for 45 years. She was a retired K-mart employee.

She married Dale Bryan Aug. 17, 1944 in Charleston, W.Va.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Mike Bryan and Bill Bryan, both of Fritch; Rick Bryan of Eunice, La.; and Robert Bryan of Amarillo; five daughters, Pat Thompson, Tina Massengale and Barbie Schroder, all of Borger; Jeannie Hogue of Portage, Ind.; and Karen Rood of Edmond, Okla.; 32 grandchidlren [sic]; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Rick Bryan, Jack Thompson, Robbie Bryan, Elvin Bryan, Jason Bryan, Billy Massentale, Clayton West, and Rusty Bryan.
