Funeral services for Richard J. Buckles, 50, of 118 Richland, Fritch, are pending at Minton Mortuary. Buckles died at 8:15 a.m. today after suffering a heart attack at his home. He was pronounced dead on arriving at North Plains Hospital.

Buckles was a member of the Baptist Church. He had lived in Fritch 13 years, and was co-owner of L & B Brikcrete Company.

Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Jimmy Walker, Dumas, Miss Linda Ann Buckles of the home; three sons, Glenn of Arlington, Dick and Johnny of Fritch; his mother, Mrs. Rosie Cranfill, Oklahoma City; two brothers, Johnny and Tommy, both of Oklahoma City; and six grandchildren.
