Services for Mrs. Bessie Delaney Burns, 79, of 101 Hood, Phillips, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Phillips with the Rev. Guy White and the Rev. Walter H. Goodnight Jr., officiating.

Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Simpson's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Burns died at 5:40 a.m. Sunday at North Plains Hospital. She was born Nov. 22, 1897 in Indian Territory.

She had been a Phillips resident since 1936 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Phillips.

Survivors include her husband, A.F. of the home; two sons, Cliff of Cactus and Lloyd of Borger; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry Meyer of Phillips and Mrs. Montie Fribbs of Winslow, Ariz.; two brothers, Robert and Ovie Delaney both of Clovis, N.M.; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Cecil Chapman, Joe Andress, Guy Chivers, James Wright, Richard Brayer, and Dene Meyer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Herb McCabe, Buford Clark, Doug Adkins, and the men's Sunday school class of the Phillips First Baptist Church.
