James Oren Byrd, 62, of 106 Peiffer died in Borger Thursday, May 26, 1988.

Funeral services are pending with Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Byrd, who was a retiree with 39 years at the ice plant, was a native of Clarksville and a Borger resident for 43 years. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Byrd of the home; a daughter, Glenda Cottrell of Euless; a son, James Byrd of Borger; three sisters, Mary Phillips of Oregon, C.M. Leffel of Hereford, and Izel Rae of Lubbock; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Maxine Lou Ella Byrd, 85 of Euless died Tuesday, November 13, 2012.

Maxine was born October 30, 1927 in Glenrose, Texas to Clyde and Ruby (Aldridge) Tomlinson. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Maxine was married to James Oren Byrd. She lived in the Borger area from 1945 to 1995
.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband on May 26, 1988; a son Larry Byrd; a daughter Glenda Cottrell; and a brother James David Tomlinson.

Maxine is survived by her son-in-law David Lee Cottrell of Euless, Texas; six Grandchildren, ten Great Grandchildren and three Great-Great Grandchildren.
