Tom W. Carper, 76, of 132 First in Phillips, died at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Ed Brown & Sons Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Weldon Rives, pastor of the Phillips United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Jack Ellzey of Perryton officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

A retired chief gauger for the pipeline division of Phillips Petroleum Company, Mr. Carper was born in Dennis, Kan. He had been a Phillips resident for 50 years.

He was a member of the Phillips Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred; two sons, Larry M. of Lubbock and Brian A. of Fort Worth; two brothers, Ladrue of Odessa and Eldon of California; four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Kirkland of McCune, Kan., Mrs. Mildred Peck of Pittsburg, Kan., Mrs. Myrtle Roche of Parsons, Kan., and Mrs. Luella Johnson of Michigan; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Smith, Bob Adams, Herman Bruns, Sam Patrick, Dee Thornhill and John Kimmins.
