Mrs. Ruth Irene Cate, 68, of 807 Ridgeland in Fritch died at 11:25 p.m. Sunday in North Plains Hospital.
Mrs. Cate, who was born April 28, 1910 in Konawa, Okla., had been a resident of Fritch since 1960. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cate is survived by her husband, Lee Roy; two sons, Michael Roy of the home and Dempsey Wayne of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Jimmie Nelson of Burleson and Mrs. Louise Eatmon of Fort Bragg, N.C.; one sister, Mrs. Arline Whittington of Hobbs, N.M.; one brother Collin McFarland of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and six grandchildren.
Services are pending with Minton Mortuary.
