FRITCH - Cecil E. "Chappy" Chapman, 85, died Monday Sept. 11, 1995 in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.

Funeral services were at 4 p.m. today at Fairlanes Baptist Church with the Rev. Art McAninch, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.

A native of Wetumka, Okla., he had been a Hutchinson County resident for 49 years. He was a retired Phillips Petroleum Company employee. He was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

He was a World War II veteran serving in the Army in the Pacific.

He married Eunice Wootten on Dec. 24, 1940 in Okmulgee, Okla.

He was preceded in death by a son, Leland Chapman in 1968.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Joyce Shelton of Borger; and a grandson.

Casketbearers were Gene Kurht, Gene Sewell, Glen Coss, Danny Kindy, Roscoe Brown, and Richard Braymer.
