Obituary for Charles
Graveside services for Charles C. Chelf, 90, Tyler TX, are scheduled for 1:00 Saturday, Sept 21, 2013 at Westlawn cemetery, Borger, TX.

Services will be under the direction of Brown Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 10:30 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home.

Charles passed away on Sept. 18th, 2013 in Tyler, TX. He was born on Dec. 3, 1922 in Frankston, TX. Charles married Mamie Ruth Knight on Feb. 14, 1942 in Tyler. After that Charles served in the Army during WW II in the South Pacific. After serving in the military they moved from Tyler to Borger, TX. where Charles was employed by Phillips Petroleum for 35 yrs. They then moved back to Tyler where Charles grew up, went to school, and was married.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth and daughter Anita Ruth Demings. He is survived by his children Randy Chelf of Tyler, daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Kent Lilly of Tyler, son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Mary Ann Chelf of Brenham; 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Jack and Fran Chelf, Tyler; sisters Bonnie Meeks and Dorothy Culwell of Ft Worth; also many loved nephews, nieces, and sister-in-law Nita Bell.

He was a loving husband, father, and gramps! He was a funny, lovable man and will be missed by all who knew him.

Obituary for M. Ruth
TYLER - Ruth Chelf, 77, formerly of Borger, died Monday, March 6, in East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Borger with Rev. Gregg Simmons, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Chelf was a native of Lindale. She was a Tyler resident for 15 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Borger, where she was a retired nursery coordinator.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Demings, and two brothers, Earl Knight and Johnny Knight.

Mrs. Chelf is survived by her husband, Charles; two sons, Randy Chelf of Tyler and Bruce Chelf of Brenham; one daughter, Jan Mozingo of Tyler; one sister, Juanita Bell of Fritch; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Family visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Friday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains.
