Ernest "E.P." Chester, 71, Borger, died Tuesday, May 7, 1991 in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.

Services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

A native of Wade, Okla., he had been a Borger resident since 1948. He was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company as a mechanic from 1948 until he retired in 1970.

He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church, and a World War II U.S. Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma of the home; two sons, Rickey Chester and Boyd Chester, both of Borger; one stepdaughter, Jane Dovidar of Amarillo; one sister Zora Jones of Dallas; and seven grandchildren.
