BORGER - Earl D. Cleveland, 82, died Tuesday, June 13, 2000.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Purl, pastor of St. Andrews United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Devotion at Westlawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Cleveland was born in Montague County and had lived in Borger since 1954. During World War II he served in the Army Air Corps. He retired as regional transportation supervisor from Phillips Petroleum Co.

He was past president of Amarillo Traffic Club, a past member of many transportation organizations and past president and general chairman of S.W. Shippers' Advisory Board. He was a Baptist.

He married Charlotte "Pat" McGrew in 1954 at Amarillo.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Charlotte Ann Elliston of Borger; and one grandchild.

The family suggests memorials be to the Alzheimer's Association.
