AMARILLO - Wava Cleveland, 79, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, in Amarillo.

Services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Cleveland was born on Oct. 25, 1923, in Fargo, Okla. She was accounting clerk for Hutchinson County Appraisal District and was a member of the First Christian Church. She married H.C. Cleveland on Feb. 4, 1944, at Woodward, Okla. She was a member of the Borger Chapter Eastern Star No. 811 and was past worthy Matron and secretary for years.

She was preceded in death by her husband in November of 1998.

Survivors include her son, James H. Cleveland and wife Leonida of Amarillo; four daughters, Donna Prine and husband Mike of Kaufman, Sue Page of Grand Prairie, Cathy George and husband Phillip of Amarillo and Carla Parker and husband Dudley of Amarillo; two brothers, Weslie Hendren of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Wayne Hendren of Woodward, Okla.; eight grandchildren, Kristie Cleveland, Justin and Jori Prine, Ross Page, Andrew and Allison George, Ty Parker and Lindsey Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to BSA Hospice, Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176.

Family visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
