Austin Collard, 71, of 1500 Bedivere, died Monday evening at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hot Springs, Ark.

Mr. Collard was the owner of C&C Liquor stores in Borger.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the First Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Amos Meador, retired pastor, will officiate.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton Mortuary.

Mr. Collard had lived in Borger since 1930. He was born April 24, 1907 at Joplin, Mo.

He was a charter member of the BPOE Lodge No. 1581.

Surviving are his wife, Dollie; a daughter, Mrs. Kile Brewer of Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Aubrey of Borger; three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Bob Dawson, H.A. Warren, Buck Smith, A.C. McCullough, Jay Childers, and David Thompson.

Sydney Anice "Dolly" Collard, 88, of Borger, died Saturday, Nov. 20, in Amarillo.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the "Garden of Devotion" in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Collard was born on Dec. 17, 1910 in Yoakum. She had been a resident of Potter House in Amarillo for several years and recently was in the care of Crown of Texas Hospice.

She married Austin Collard in Borger. She and her husband owned and ran The Bluebonnet Cafe. Later they founded C&C Package stores. She was active in the Rebeccas and ceramic clubs while living in Borger.

After retiring from business, she moved to Hot Springs, Ark., living on Lake Hamilton. While living there, she continued to be active in ceramics producing porcelain dolls, which won many honors.

Mrs. Collard was preceded in death by her husband, Austin, in 1978.

Survivors include one son, Aubrey Collard of Borger; a daughter, Kay Collard Brewer of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will be staying at 303 Bois D'Arc in the Meadowlark Addition.

Honorary casket bearers will be W.T. Clements, Jim Harder, Henry Berg, Carl Saxon, Jay Irvin, and Joe Hayes.
