Don J. Covington, 75, of Borger, Tex., died Nov. 3 at the North Plains Hospital at Borger. Mr. Covington was born Jan. 10, 190 in Mountain Home, the son of J.W. Covington and Ella Taylor Covington, and he was married at Mountain Home to the former Edna Lamb.

Mr. Covington, a retired pumper for Texaco Company, and a member of the Bunavista Baptist Church of Borger, had been a resident there since 1926.

Survivors include his wife, Edna, at hone; two sons, J.D. Covington of Pasco, Wash., and Bob Covington of Shamrock, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Donna Scott of Fritch, Tex., Mrs. Murrell Renfroe of Angletone, Tex., and Mrs. Fern Edwards of Dumas, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Dan Hopper of Melbourne; four brothers, Wallace Covington, Houston Covington and Harium Covington, all of Mountain Home, and Norman Covington of Columbus, Ga.; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ray Renfroe Jr., Larry Renfroe, Lonnie Renfroe, Billy Scott, Tracy Edwards, Gary Edwards and Jimmy Lamb. Honorary pallbearers were Babe Miller, Chester Graves, Clarance [sic] McDaniel, Ron Paschal, Paul Libby, Carl Cade, Dee Coleman, Ralph Hankins and Gene Williams.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Minton Mortuary.
