Services for Charles Haskell Cromer, 56, who died Thursday, July 25, were held on Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Phillips, Texas. The Rev. Guy White officiated.
Cromer, who spent his youth in the Checotah area had lived in Phillips since 1939. He was a retired field operator for Phillips Petroleum Co. He was a a member of the First Baptist Church and a charter member of the Hutchinson County Sheriff's Posse. He lived at 7 Woods Street.
Survivors include his widow Helena; a son, Ron of Tulia, Texas, a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte White and a grandson, Joel, both of Lubbock, Texas; a brother, Nesby Cromer of Muskogee, Okla.; and a sister; Mrs. Boyne Cromer Moore of Atlanta, Ga.
Burial was in Westland Memorial Park.
Acting as honorary pallbearers were the Hutchinson County Sheriff's Posse.
