BORGER - Walter Charles "Dub" Cypert, 82, died Monday, July 21, 2008.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Faith Covenant Church with the Rev. Les Sharp, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mr. Cypert was born Sept. 18, 1925, in Culp, Ark., to William Walker and Lou Ella Emmett Cypert. After graduating from Borger High School in 1944, he joined the U.S. Army and served in the Philippines and Japan.
Survivors include three children, Brenda Cypert Comer and Emily Turner Sargent, both of Borger, and Ed Turner of Pampa; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Alzheimer's Association, 1400 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106; or Olivia's Angels, BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
