Bennie G. Darden, Sr., 73, died Saturday, March 8, 2003, in Amarillo.
Services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Darden was born on June 16, 1929, in Gilmer and had been a Borger resident since 1949. He was a retired driver for NL Acme Tool Co. He married Ida Walker on July 23, 1950, in Borger. He was a Baptist and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Darden, of the home; three sons, Nathaniel Robinson and Bennie Darden, Jr., both of Borger, and Johnnie Darden of Irving; two daughters, Katie Darden of Borger and Loretta Darden of Mesquite; two brothers, Eddie Darden of Richmond, Calif., and Virgil Darden of Longview; one sister, Dorene Tuggle of Los Angeles, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
