SHERIFF ROGERS' FATHER IS DEAD AT BUCKHOLTS

Richard Rogers died at the home of his son Tom, three miles southwest of Buckholts in the Corinth community, Tuesday, December 16, 1924, age 76 years.
Deceased was born April 8, 1848, in Union, Mississippi, and came to Texas December, 1892, and settled at Little River Switch in Bell County, and engaged in farming. Mr. Rogers had been a member of the Primitive Baptist church for years. He was buried in the Corinth cemetery Wednesday afternoon.
Deceased left seven children, one daughter, Mrs. Lou Wyatt who lives on the Plains and six sons; Wash Rogers of Jones county, Henry of Navarro county, Wiley, Tom, Manus, and Drew S. Rogers of Milam county. The latter has been sheriff of Milam county the past two years and has a large number of friends who extend sympathy in this sad hour.
A number of friends from Cameron attended the funeral Wednesday. - Cameron Enterprise
