Obituary for Stanley
BORGER - Stanley G. Davis, 94, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Davis was born Aug. 23, 1915, in Chancel, Ark., and had been a Borger resident since 1943. He married Louella Catherine Ponder on Jan. 19, 1942, in Holdenville, Okla., and she preceded him in death in October 2006. He was a lifelong member of Hutchinson County Sheriff's Posse and loved horses. He was a foreman for Phillips Petroleum Co.
He was preceded in death by eight sisters and a brother.
Survivors include two sons, John Davis and wife Lorraine of Austin and Jim Davis and wife Tonya of Heidelberg, Germany; two daughters, Cathy Rauscher and husband Larry of Amarillo and Karen Turner of Austin; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

BORGER - Louella Catherine Davis, 81, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Davis was born Aug. 24, 1925, in Lamar, Okla. She married Stanley G. Davis on Jan. 19,1942, in Holdenville, Okla.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, John Davis of Austin and Jim Davis of Heidelberg, Germany; two daughters, Cathy Rauscher of Amarillo and Karen Turner of Austin; a brother, Bill Ponder of Pampa; a sister, Dora Ponder of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to the Opportunities Center, 930 Illinois, Borger, TX 79007.
