Alvian "Red" Dawson
January 12, 1929 - July 10, 2018

Alvian W. "Red" Dawson passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Sugarland, Texas.

He was born January 12, 1929 in Edgemont, South Dakota to Mickey Johnathan and Orris Velma (Carroll) Dawson. He married Betty Shaw on September 2, 1950 at Calvary Baptist Church, Borger.

He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Borger and of the Elks Lodge.

Until his retirement, he was employed as a Quality Technician for Mason Hanger.

Mr. Dawson was preceded in death by his precious wife, Betty.

His survivors include 2 sons: Mark Dawson of Fritch and Dane Dawson and wife Michele of Missouri City, Texas; 3 grandchildren: Ashley Keeney and husband Jim of Borger, Kane Dawson of Amarillo and Allie Burback and husband Bradley of Tyler, Texas; 5 great grandchildren: Korbin Keeney, Ansley Dawson, Liberty Keeney, J.D. Keeney and Breanna Moore.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 16, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains, Borger. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Borger.

Funeral Home hours for Mr. Dawson will be on Saturday, July 14 from Noon - 6 PM and Sunday, July 15, from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains. The family will welcome friends on Sunday from 4:00 PM- 6:00 PM at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains.

Services are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors, Borger.
