Obituary for I.N. “Polie”
Funeral services for Ira N. "Polie" Deason, 75, 700 Mississippi, Borger, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Danny Trussell, pastor, Wesley United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Deason died June 17, 1988 at High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.

Retired from the City of Borger, he was a native of Scotland, Ark.

Survivors include his wife, a son, a daughter, two brothers, two sisters, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Obituary for Mary
BORGER - Mary Maxine Deason, 92, formerly of Borger, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, in San Antonio.

Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in The Garden of Devotion at Westlawn Memorial Park with Jake Minton officiating. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Deason was born Dec. 31, 1917, in Clinton, Ark., to Jesse and Maggie Smith. She owned and operated Maxine's Beauty Shop for years in Borger.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Rickard of San Antonio; a son, Jim Deason of Apache, Okla.; two sisters, Faye Johnson of Waco and Jo Taylor of Penelope; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
