Tommy Wayne Dickson of Lubbock passed away on Monday, June 11, 2007 at the age of 53.
He was born on Jan. 27, 1954 to C.F. Dickson and Tinnie Bell (Lord) Dickson in Lubbock. He graduated from Lubbock High School and later in 1975 he received a diploma from Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake, Washington. Tommy served eleven years in the army and fought in Vietnam. He married Betty Louise Long on Feb. 14, 1981. He moved to Lubbock County from Tahoka in 1999. He worked for Lynn County Road Department and the Lone Star Dirt and Paving.
Tommy was preceded in death by his wife, Betty on Oct. 24, 2000.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Jim Dickson of Lubbock; sisters, Belinda Joyce McCleskey of Slaton and Tina Kidd of Woodrow; numerous nieces and nephews, along with other beloved family members and friends.
The family suggests memorials to Vistacare 1717 Norfolk Avenue, Bldg.A, Lubbock, Texas 79416.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at White Funeral Home.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2007 at White Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Terrace Cemetery in Post.
