Opal Pearl Denny

Opal Pearl Denny, 97, a long time resident of Borger, Texas, passed away on January 28, 2018 in Lubbock, Texas.
Opal was born on January 5, 1921, in Snyder, Oklahoma. She moved to Borger in 1940, Opal resided there for over 60 years until she moved to Amarillo in 2003. She was the part owner of Denny's Clothing Store in Borger, and she was part owner of Superior Well Servicing for over 50 years.
Opal is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Alice Connor, three brothers, four sisters, her husband James Armstrong (Junior) Denny, and her son, James Armstrong (Jimmy) Denny III.
Mrs. Denny is survived by her son, David Denny, and his wife, Vicki, of Lubbock, Texas. She also has five grandchildren: Delise Leazenby of Amarillo, Texas, Debbie Cook of Amarillo, Texas, Dawna Wine of Amarillo, Texas, Misti Garcia of Canyon Lake, Texas, and Ryan Denny of Houston, Texas, several great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in her honor on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Saint Stephens Episcopal Church in Lubbock, Texas. Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
