Eulyn Rosalyn Dynes, 85, of 1319 Yows, died Friday in St. Anthony Hospice, Amarillo.

A retired homemaking teacher at Phillips High School for 20 years, she was a native of Peru, Indiana and a Borger resident for 42 years. After her retirement from teaching, Dynes was co-owner of the Kit Shop with Virginia Fesler.

She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, the Collector's Club, the Jodiah [sic] Barlett Chapter of the D.A.R., and the Borger Knife and Fork Club.

She came to Borger in 1949 from Ponca City, Okla. There she taught homemaking and cooperated with the Oklahoma State University's teacher training program.

She earned her bachelor's degree at Oklahoma State and began her graduate work there. Dynes also attended the University of California and Ohio State University. She received her master's of science in home economics at Columbia University.

She is survived by her adopted sister, Virginia Fesler of Borger, who she shared her home with.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church with the Rev. William Houghton, pastor of St. Peter's, officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice and the American Cancer Society of St. Peter's Episcopal Church.

Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown and Sons Funeral Directors.
