Jeannette Eads, 81, of Abilene died Wednesday Sept. 10, 2014.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Browns Chapel of the Fountains with Kenneth Benton officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Eads was born Dec. 15, 1932, to Marcus Page and Blanche Ann Estes Armstrong.

Jeannette married Royce Eads on Dec. 20, 1952, in Roswell, N.M. She was a secretary for Phillips Public Schools and was a member of First Nazarene Church in Borger.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Lodema Benton, in 2007 and a brother, Clytee Armstrong, in 2012.

Survivors include six sisters, Freda King of Bartlesville, Okla., Shirley Ann Baze of Amarillo, Barbara Pitcock of Sheridan, Ark., Wanda Armstrong of Abilene, Cathy and husband Ed Mahler of Wilmington, Del., and Sharon Kay and husband Phillip Calhoun of Stinnett; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Visitation will be from 8 to 8 p.m. today and Saturday from 8 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorials be made to American Diabetes Association.
