Obituary for Julian
Julian Dean "J.D." Edmondson, 87, of Amarillo died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Dean Wynn, associate minister of St. Stephen United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Westlawn Cemetery of Borger.

Mr. Edmondson was born in Matador. He had lived in Phillips and Borger prior to coming to Amarillo. He attended West Texas State University and Hardin-Simmons.

He had been the safety supervisor for Phillips Petroleum. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Borger. He married Zelda Battey on Jan. 5, 1941, in Floydada.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1990.

Survivors include his son, Ronald Edmondson and wife, Kay, of Amarillo; a daughter, Gay Kollmar and husband, Ben, of Amarillo; and five grandchildren, Cary, Kyle, Kory, Sara and Reagan.

Obituary for Zelda
Funeral services for Zelda M. Edmondson, 72, of Borger, were held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Ihsar Ardhuerumly, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Edmondson died Friday, Nov. 9, 1990, in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.

A native of Floydada, she had been a Borger area resident for the past 48 years. She was a homemaker, a member of the First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Borger Music Club.

Zelda Marie Battey and J.D. Edmondson were married on Jan. 5, 1941, at Floydada.

Survivors include her husband, J.D.; one son, Ronald Edmondson of Amarillo; one daughter, Gaylynn Kollmar of Houston; one sister, Vida Martin of Amarillo; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Joed Forbus, Paul Chance, Greer Smith, John McLain, Al Hagburg and Don Williams.
