LYDIA BARTEK FOUND DEAD MONDAY NIGHT - LUTHER EDMONDS UNDER ARREST

Lydia Bartek, about 20 years of age, was found dead in a room of the George T. Moore building, at 9:30 o'clock Monday night, at Cameron, Texas, and Luther Edmonds, 40, was placed under arrest by Sheriff Blaylock pending a further investigation into her death.
At an inquest held by Justice E. F. English of it was held that the girl died as a result of an attempted criminal operation. According to reports from Cameron, Edmonds said that he would make a statement later, and the investigation was to have been continued Wednesday.
Dr. A. S. Epperson was caller in to make an examination of the body of the young woman in connection with the case. No statement had been made public Wednesday morning in regard to the cause of Miss Bartek's death.
