BORGER - Robert C. Ezzell, 74, died Friday, Dec. 4, 1998.

Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Monday in Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. John's Catholic Church with Monsignor Norbert Kuehler officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park in Borger.

Mr. Ezzell was born in Tishomingo, Okla., and had been a Borger resident since 1946. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. In 1973, he received his master's degree from Texas Tech University. He retired as an engineer for Phillips Petroleum Co.

Mr. Ezzell was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. A member of the Knights of Columbus, he was 4th and 3rd degree knight, Knight of the Year, past grand knight and lifetime knight.

He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Borger and was active with the Boy Scouts.

Mr. Ezzell formerly lived in England. He ran in the London marathon and Lyke Wake Walk.

He married Flora Katherine Wallace in 1948 at Plainview.

Survivors include his wife, Flora; three sons, Mike Ezzell of San Antonio, Stephen Ezzell of Snyder and Patrick Ezzell of Houston; six daughters, Debi Buckley of Hilltop Lakes, Cindy Ezzell of South Deerfield, Mass., Martha Rose of Littlefield, Nancy Smith of Mathis and Barbara Buchanan and Sarah Eury, both of San Antonio; a brother, Donald of Dell City, Okla.; two sisters, Charlotte Warner of Norman, Okla., and Imogene Sanders of Washington, Okla.; and 17 grandchildren.
