FRITCH - Funeral services for Irvin "Big" Farrell, 78, of 521 Overland Trail, were at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Jack Ellzey, pastor, officiated.
Burial was in Westlawn Cemetery by Alexander Funeral Directors.
Mr. Farrell died Thursday in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.
A native of Colorado, Mr. Farrell lived in Hutchinson County for 55 years.
He worked for Phillips Petroleum Company 35 years as an area superintendent. He retired in 1968.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He married Marguerite Affolter in 1927 in Walden, Colo.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Paul Farrell of Guymon, Okla., and John Farrell of Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. Esther Mauser of Tucumcari, N.M., and Mrs. Grace Hunnicutt of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a brother, Ivan Farrell of Salinas, Calif.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
