Obituary for Sig
Sig C. Fauske, 88, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, in Amarillo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Roger Harworth officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mr. Fauske was born March 12, 1911, in Quinn, S.D. He married Everal Van Briggle on Aug. 9, 1939, in Gordon, Neb.
He moved to Borger from Bartlesville, Okla., in 1949. He retired as a chemical engineer from Phillips Petroleum Co.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Borger, the Odd Fellows and the Retired Phil Resters.
Mr. Faukes was preceded in death by a son, Larry Fauske.
Survivors include his wife, Everal of the home; three daughters, Donna Jean Ratliff of Borger, Janice Marie Sall of Chico, Calif. and Lois June Whisennand of Austin; one sister, Ann McMahon of Bartlesville, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Obituary for Everal
BORGER - Everal Ione Van Briggle Fauske, 85, died Friday, April 27, 2001.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Roger Harwerth officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Fauske departed from this world on April 27, 2001. She was born in Ewing, Neb. She called Borger her home since 1949. Everal enjoyed being active in local organizations which included churches, area choirs, the Rebekahs, the Creative Arts Club, the Grandmothers Club, the Borger Community Center and many others.
She held two master's degrees, one in art and one in education. She was a devoted teacher for more than 30 years, serving in Skellytown, Pampa, Morse, Dumas and Phillips. Even after retirement, her greatest love was sharing her gift of art with children and pictures of "her kids" were featured regularly in the Borger News-Herald.
Mrs. Fauske was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Sig Fauske; and by a son, Larry Fauske.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Ratliff of Borger, Jan Sall Parr of Chico, Calif., and Lois Whisennand of Austin; two sisters, UnaBelle Ireland of Gordon, Neb., and Mary Hartman of Hot Springs, S.D.; and three sisters-in-law, Paula Fauske of Wall, S.D., Francis Van Briggle of Gordon, Neb., and Anne Purvis of Bartlesville, Okla.
Everal was the beloved grandmother of Danny, Cathy, Tamra and Tim Ratliff, Craig and Karen Combs, Madison and Bennett Sall and Mikala, Randy and Julia Fauske; great-grandmother of Heather, Jennifer, Lance and Chelsea Wills, Kari Naill, Braden Fauske and Bailey Bush; and great-great-grandmother of Kevin and Brodie Maroney and Alex and Madilyn Whitman.
We will keep her in our hearts always.
Casket bearers will be Dan Ratliff, Craig Combs, Bennett Sall, Tim Ratliff, Jimmy Healy, Stewart Shuman, Larry Wills, Madison Sall and Lance Wills.
