January 14, 1931 - May 15, 2016

George A. ''Dub'' Fisher, Jr., died Sunday, May 15, 2016, in Plainview. Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, May 20, at Riverview Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Gilmore officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Dub was born in Eureka, Kansas to George and Ethel (Evenson) Fisher, Sr. on January 14, 1931. He graduated Phillips High School in 1947 and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Dub married Patricia Burks on December 24, 1953 in Phillips, Texas. He was a Truck Driver for Phillips Petroleum for 39 years. Dub was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church and had a love for animals.

Dub is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jackie and a sister Ramona Ann Brown.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia; son Brett Fisher and wife Kay of Borger; grandchildren, Kristin Stacy and husband, Matt and Jeremy Fisher; and one great-granddaughter, Haven Ann Stacy.
