*Obituary
Herchel G. Fortune Jr., 48, of 110 Elm St., died at 3:55 a.m. today in North Plains Hospital.
Services are pending with Alexander Funeral Directors.
A native of Eric, Okla., he had lived in Borger most of his life. He graduated from Phillips High School in 1953, and attended Frank Phillips College. He was a painter contractor. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church.
He married Julia Palmer May 19, 1956 in Borger.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Donna McAdams of Stinnett; two brothers, John Fortune of Fort Worth and Dale Fortune of Wahiawa, Hawaii.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herchel Fortune of Borger; and one grandchild.
The family will be staying at 315 N. Harvey St.
