Leon M. Foster, 81, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Field of Honor at Westlawn Memorial Park at Borger with the Rev. Allen Norris, pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Amarillo, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Foster was born in Lockney and moved to Amarillo 32 years ago from Pampa. He had been a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church. He retired in 1969 as a mechanic for Cabot Corp. and served in the Army during World War II.

He married Nell Mowery in 1966 at Clovis, N.M.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Rodney Foster of Grove, Okla.; a daughter, Elaine Jay of Parsons, Kan.; a brother, Leonard Foster of Borger; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
