Kenneth Maurice Brantferger, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away suddenly on November 28, 2014. He was born in Denver, Colorado on December 24, 1936, the son of Kenneth Milton Brantferger and Alpha Bee Carpenter, and has resided in Dallas for the last 45 years. He served in the United States Air Force from 1955-1958. In 1962, he graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked on the space program for several years including the Saturn V Mission, in Cape Canaveral, Florida. In 1969, he and his family moved to Dallas, Texas where he worked for Texas Instruments for over 30 years. He was a member of First Baptist Dallas. Survivors include his wife Doris Donta Brantferger; daughter Jo Ellen Brantferger of Dallas; son Kenneth Mark Brantferger, Ph.D., daughter-in-law Nuchwara, grandaughter Emily, and a grandson due in January, all of Abu Dhabi UAE; one brother Ernest Milton Brantferger of St. Augustine, Florida and several extended family and friends. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at noon in the Northwest Highway Chapel of Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home with Alan Lynch officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
