Claude E. Galyon, 85, of 106 Estireno in Borger, died Friday morning in Golden Plains Community Hospital.
A retired operator at Phillips Petroleum's Plains Plant, he was a native of Bells, Texas, and a Borger resident for 42 years.
He was a member of the Monroe Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife Jewell; three sons - Dwight Galyon of Borger, Edwin Galyon of Irving, and Claude E. Galyon, Jr. of Buchanan Dam, Texas; two daughters - Nita Mayo of Smackover, Ark., and Melba Shipman of Borger; three sisters - Nettie Jenkins of Irving, Letha Taylor and Hazel Huileker, both of Denison; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Services are pending with Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

Funeral services for Jewell Vesta Galyon, 91, Borger, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Monroe Street Church of Christ with Mr. J.W. Sebastian, minister, officiating.
Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Galyon died Monday, Dec. 28, 1992 in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.
A native of Grayson County, Texas, she had been a Borger resident for 48 years. She was a housewife, a member of Monroe Street Church of Christ, and Borger Creative Club.
Survivors include a son, Dwight Galyon of Borger; two daughters, Melba Shipman of Borger; and Nita Mayo of Smackover, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Puckett Shipman, Don Shipman, Eddie Galyon, Dr. Russell Mayo, Keith Galyon, and Joby Cary.
The family will be staying at 106 Esterino.
