LIBERAL, Kan. - George Woodrow "Woody" Gideon, 74, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 12992 in Southwest Medical Center.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Kitch Funeral Directors.

He had been a resident of Liberal since 1989 moving from Borger. He was a warehouseman for Phillips Petroleum retiring after 34 years service. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church and VFW, both in Borger, and a World War II Army veteran.

He married Nola Anderson in 1962 in Pampa. She died Jan. 28, 1992 in Liberal.

Survivors include six sons, including Carroll Gideon of Borger; six daughters, including Jeannie Paige of Borger; five brothers; a sister, Ruby Cox of Borger; 33 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
