Lindsey, Stephen D. Stephen Dale Lindsey, born November 30, 1941 in Bicknell, Indiana to the late Mr. and Mrs. John Richard Lindsey, died Thursday, January 27. He graduated from Anderson High School in Anderson, Indiana where he was active in ROTC and the highly acclaimed Anderson High Marching Band. After receiving a Bachelor in Business Administration from Wichita State University, he worked for Boeing Aircraft as a financial analyst. In 1961, he was recruited by Texas Instruments where he was employed for 38 years in positions ranging from financial analyst to purchasing manager in marketing services for worldwide procurement and logistics. Throughout his life Steve's beautiful baritone voice enabled him to entertain friends and family with professional performances that were a pleasure for all. As well he was a devoted husband to Susan Lindsey, and father to four daughters - Carrie Hefner (deceased), Allison Hefner, Jennifer Lindsey and Stephanie Renuy, and grandfather to Mikayla Renuy. He is also survived by his brothers Michael Lindsey of Wichita, Kansas and Dick Lindsey of Roans Prairie, Texas and his sister, Marilyn Lindsey of Houston, Texas plus a host of other family members and friends. Steve was a lifetime member of the Dallas Elks, a longtime member of Lovers Lane Methodist Church and the Koinonia Sunday School Class. His memberships at Dallas Knife and Fork Club, The Kermis Dance Club and the Rondo Dance Club were a great source of wonderful friendships and social experiences. Pallbearers are Ken Willis, Robert Nechamkin, Dan Walsh, Jeff Gilmore, Michael Renuy, Mike Lindsey, Dick Lindsey, Rick Pigott and Jeff McRaney. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home on Sunday, January 30th. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 31st at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church at 4 P.M. The family requests that donations or memorials be made to the Carrie Hefner Fund for Lovers Lane United Methodist Church Youth Ministry, 9200 Inwood Road, Dallas, Texas 75220.
